Introducing
CARA - Compassion And Responsibility for Animals
http://www.caraphil.org

I lived in the Philippines for 3 years and was horrified by the animal cruelty I encountered - imagine a country where dogs are brutally killed to be eaten and kittens are thrown into bags and dumped alive. For someone like myself from the UK, it is hard to believe this until you actually witness these scenes.

CARA is an organization trying to help these poor defenseless animals. I believe deeply in their work and will donate 5% of any commissioned portraits to CARA.

Here are my three beautiful Philippine cats, read the story of how I got  My Three Tiny Miracles

GOMER

Whilst in the Philippines I met the thinnest dog I have ever seen. After years of working in animal welfare you would think I wouldn't be shocked anymore, but this dog was a skeleton. Gomer was "living" in an area where there are lots of upscale restaurants. I wonder how many people passed him by on their way to their expensive meal, did anyone even give him a second glance where he lay suffering under a bush!  Luckily for Gomer, a CARA member did.

Ongoing round to take his photo for the CARA website, spotting me crouching with camera at the ready, Gomer staggers to his feet to say hello, his tail wagging.  This poor dog could hardly walk but wanted to greet me. He then took painfully slow steps round the yard only to then collapse back on his bed after such exertion.
Below is his before and after photos, the latest photo was taken only two months later - what a change!

THE 5% COUNTS
The Philippine streets are so over populated with cats and dogs, starving and struggling to survive. CARA is trying to improve the situation by offering spaying and neutering at  low cost.

This is where you come in, for every portrait you commission I will donate 5% to CARA.  Fortunately due to CARA's low cost clinic, even if you order the most reasonably priced portrait, it allows CARA to get an animal fixed. Therefore you are helping a cat lead a happier life and assisting in a small way to curb the over population in the Philippines.

I am really hoping these photos will move you enough to personally donate to CARA and support their hard work,  if you donate even a small amount it helps so much in a poor country such as the Philippines. Please scroll down and hit the donate button; the animals need your help.  I guarantee every penny goes towards helping the animals.

This is Skype, he was saved in the nick of time from becoming someone's dinner! You can read his story here:
