From experience I find a single detailed head drawing works the best, it allows me to really show the character and personality of the animal. I want you to see that special 'glint' in your pet's eye.
However if you have more then one pet and you would like them in the same drawing, extra faces can be added. It is really important though that the photos 'fit together well' in the portrait. Email me your photos; I can then do a mock composition to see how the portrait would work.
Full body drawings are also an option but you will not achieve the character in the face unless you go for a large study. An exception to this are cats who often benefit from being a full body study.
