PORTRAIT ORDERING PROCESS

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

I know it seems like ages away but Christmas is my busiest time, so please don't leave it till too late, order early.

Each portrait takes about at least 4 - 6 weeks to complete, it isn't a quick process as each drawing takes many hours of detailed work.

STEP 1 - PHOTOGRAPH

I will need a good close-up photograph of your pet.

The quality of the photograph is very important. Please visit:

for advice on how to take the perfect photograph - the better the photo the more accurate the painting.

If you live in Dubai, I am more than willing to come to your house and take the photographs myself free of charge - it is always nice to meet the "model". Please note; professional photographs must be accompanied by a copyright release from the photographer or studio.

STEP 2 - SIZE & TYPE
Click Portrait Prices and decide whether your portrait should be a head study, full body and the size required. Also read Portrait Advice for further assistance in your choice.

STEP 3 - CONTACT ME

your photographs (jpeg high resolution please), or to arrange an appointment for a "photo shoot".

If you are sending more than one photograph, please tell me which is your favourite; it is always nice to work from a selection, even though the end portrait will be based on only one.

I will then email you an example of a mock composition/portrait for your approval, plus a final price including postage and packing. Don't forget to tell me your location in the world; I ship worldwide with Emirates recorded postal service. Alternatively you can also use snail mail; just email me and request my postal address.

STEP 4 - PAYMENT

If you are happy with the proposed composition, I require a 10% REFUNDABLE deposit before starting work on your portrait; this is just to show you are as serious about the commission as I am. If you are not 100% satisfied with the finished portrait, the deposit will be refunded in full.

Payment Methods

By Paypal - payment can be made securely through PayPal, to use pay-pal all you need is an email address and valid credit card. I will simply send a payment form to you via email.

By Cash or Check - For UAE or UK customers

STEP 5 - FINISHED PORTRAIT

On completion I will email you a high resolution Jpeg of your portrait. If you are completely satisfied, the remaining amount can be paid and the portrait will then be ready for collection, or postage.

Portraits are sent recorded delivery with Emirates postal service; flat packed for protection. It will then only be a short time, before you can open your portrait and view the 'real' thing.

Portraits are completed on a first come first served basis, therefore if you would like a portrait as a gift for someone please order well in advance, or alternatively you could purchase a Gift Voucher

The finished portrait framed.

Remember you will receive the portrait unframed to allow you to pick a frame of your choice.

To ensure that the focus stays on the portrait, a simple frame and mount is an ideal choice.

If you would like me to have it mounted before shipment/collection, this can be arranged through Art House Dubai at an extra cost, to give you an idea of costs involved:

A4 size ca. AED 50 (GBP 8.50)

A3 size ca. AED 60 (GBP 10.50)

On the right is how a mounted portrait would look, it is has a double matt and is then shrink wrapped (plastic protective cover).

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your portrait to be finished, the time scale is dependent on the waiting list.
2. All work is copyrighted and may not be reproduced in any form without the permission of the artist. To reproduce work without permission may result in legal action being taken.
3. Images of commissions undertaken may be used for designs of prints, cards or cross stitch patterns etc.
